This weekend, many of us will gather with family and friends to celebrate the Fourth of July. We'll enjoy cookouts, parades, sparklers, and time together - but as Catholic families, it's also an opportunity to remember the source of every good gift.
The freedoms we enjoy are blessings worth thanking God for, and they remind us that our greatest freedom is found in Christ. As we celebrate our country, we can also teach our children to pray for it, asking God to guide our leaders, protect our communities, and help us become people who use our freedom to love and serve others.
